D. Black Communications, in partnership with Science West Inc. and eclecthink international, has won an Award of Excellence at the 32nd AMTEC Conference in Calgary, for a web-based educational program on sustainable transportation, “Getting Around: A Driving Force for Change.” This web-based educational resource introduces students and teachers to the effects of transportation on climate change and challenges them to become involved in reducing the environmental impact associated with moving people and goods.

AMTEC – Association for Media and Technology in Education in Canada is a Pan-Canadian community of educators, media producers, researchers, librarians and other professional staff who work to facilitate and improve learning through the appropriate application and integration of educational technology

“Getting Around: A Driving Force for Change” was made possible with contributions from Transport Canada, the City of Saskatoon, The Saskatoon Foundation, Saskatchewan Environment, SaskLearning, UMA Engineering, dblack communications, eclecthink international and the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers - Prairie Region.
